Abstract (English) : | A failure of regional anaesthesia may appear immediately or subsequently during caesarean section. These failures potentially increase the risk of anaesthetic complications and affect the comfort of the patient. The causes of these failures have been largely identified. To date, no scientific society has defined algorithm for management of inadequate epidural block during cesarean section. If a new locoregional technique is not possible, either sedative drugs or a general anaesthetic are needed to blunt pain. The strategy of the management of insufficient analgesia depends mainly on the degree of urgency of caesarean section. |
